The schoolhouse reminds me of when I would play “fort” in our house using string and sheets to erect an alternate universe in my bedroom. It is sort of a grown-ups version in reverse, transforming a bygone era’s one-room schoolhouse into cozy modern home comforts while tweaking your historical imagination, and massaging your design sensibility. The fireplace light is super mellow to read a book by and fall into a dreamy nap, the beds are extra comfortable memory foam, there are board games, a smartTV, a stocked kitchen to cook in, a peaceful neighborhood to walkabout or nearby trails well-maintained and interconnected to even more trails. There are many different restaurant options within a 15 min drive from burger bars to palate savory fusions of flavor. There are also countless outdoor activities from cycling trails to paragliding, rock climbing, skiing, kayaking and more. The schoolhouse is a great way to launch your day of exploration, or just relax and rejuvenate.
